Puerto Rico's electricity problem and no green efficient solution...
63We need renewable energy.....
Hurricane Irene did almost nothing to Puerto Rico, yes there were very strong winds and not a lot of thunder or shower storms, but a 22% of the Puerto Ricans were without electricity for more than a week and still most of the people are without electricity till this day August 30, 2011 and I'm sorry to say this but it was and still is the AEE (Autoridad de Energia Electrica de Puerto Rico) or lets just say the "Puerto Rico Electric Company" fault... Why you ask!?, easy, in Puerto Rico they don't clean the electric lines monthly, there are not underground like most cities in the United States, and simply because they have wasted to much American money on ideas that are wrong like the "gasoducto" or "natural gas lines".... Listen there are so many renewable energy sources and so many places to implement them in Puerto Rico, like windmill's and solar energy panel's, the main problem is that the center of natural resources in Puerto Rico don't want them cutting down trees or many of the forest's in Puerto Rico to implement them, there is so many terrain in Puerto Rico to have a lot of renewable energy but some people are ignorant and never want to see change in a good way... I love my island but i also want it to progress in a good clean safe way, i say building windmills and solar energy panels in Puerto Rico is a good way to start saving up the money that we need to pay the deficit we have and owe to United States, but the people, the politicians and many of the companies in Puerto Rico are eating up the money that United States gives us and are abusing of the relationship with the United States.
